The nose recalls the green spicy notes of the variety followed by red berry fruit and some jammy note. The lively, crisp fruitiness and playful jammy note are in perfect harmony, underlined by green tea like notes. Reserved, yet nice, round and pleasant as well.
The spiciness of the apple is followed by the waxiness of the fruit and enhanced by the woody character of the barrel, such as vanilla. Due to the ageing there is some tannic grip as well which adds to the elegance. The flavour profile suggest apple and spiciness in combination with some wood aromas coming from the barrel. The dry tasting note shows also complete balance, truly a harmonious product.

The palate recalls the tartness and the piquant waxiness of the fruit in combination with oaky tones from the aging, which together result in a fine body. The barrel smooths out the high alcohol as well, creating an elegant, masculine pálinka.
Exciting assemblage, complex flavours and aromas. An orgy of flavours dominated by raspberry, blackberry , long lingering finish. Kernel oily character adds to the colourful fruity character, underlined by a refreshing youthful tartness. Good track.
Forest red berry fruit such as raspberry, blueberry and blackberry appear on the nose, accompanied by smoky, tobacco and sweet character. It reminds one to autumn forest aromas. Wild fruitiness appears on the palate.
It needs time to reveal its character. Kernel oily, grinded paprika are dominating. The kernel oily character pops up on the flavour profile as well underlined by some stalky dryness. The Cabernet varieties are dominating the finish.

The roasted walnut makes it quite unique along the finish, long lingering after taste.
